    $454 all-in, flight from SFO/LAX/SEA > NRT (Tokyo, Japan)
Want to head to Tokyo for a fun trip across the Pacific? Want to do it for less than $500 for the flight? Here's your opportunity:

Default routing is sfo-yvr-nrt on Air Canada (Founding UA/Star Alliance Member, so miles are 100% transferable to/from UA)

Use the flexible date search on Orbitz... Departure Mon-Thur until June 30 - return Tue-Fri before July 29.

    EXAMPLE LINK
    [orbitz.com]

    EQM works out to:
    $454 / 9486mi = $0.0478... less than $0.05/mi - before any mileage promos.

    Cheers!

Killer price. Too bad I'm on the east coast, where such deals don't seem to exist. Thumbs up & rep regardless.

The miles are NOT transferable between different program. However, you can choose to credit the miles to UA account instead of AC account.

Good price for the airfare nonetheless.

Just find some cheap flight out to Cali and chill there for a few days then peace out to Japan? You should be able to get a RT from SW from many East Coast cities to SFO for around $200-220 including taxes. So $650 ish for a RT to Tokyo is still pretty darn good.

I am too lazy to check the airfare class. But be aware that UA accepts only 70% of the miles for some economy airfare from Star Alliance members.

Some would call you irresponsible. Me; I say go put in an application at some random store while you're over there and write the whole thing off as a job search.

Good damn, that is a shiny idea. RT from PDX to Ireland was $1200
