Now let's talk about HL1 Opposing force and blueshift give you that multi level book feeling of a deep and rich story from the people invading and the people being invaded. Blue-shift you get to play as a cop and opposing force you get to play as one of the bad guys. You get an enriching experience from both which is what single player is all about

Let's talk about multiplayer. You have variety up the ass. Day of defeat is built on the same engine but comparing it to CSS your goin over the line. Then you got another 10 or so games to diddle with.

You have about 200 hours of gameplay FROM AN FPS for 99 bux

Can you backup the downloaded games to DVD ? I'd hate to have to download them every time I need to install. Hmmmph.

I think you can only gift those titles you purchased separately through steam and already own.

i'm getting left 4 dead from amazon for $40. I think i'd rather pick up Orange Box for $20 since I only want TF2 and Left 4 Dead and i'll pay another $10 (i think) for Garry's mod.

The other games I already played years ago. Except peggle. But i can bootleg that.

Apparently the games are not giftable with the exception of the Orange Box titles, but Valve is willing to work with you. This guy had a 2nd Steam account and purchased the package again, and they refunded him the purchase price...essentially giving him duplicates of all the games. So all he needs to do is give the second Steam account to someone else and they will have all of them.

i got it. i already had HL2 and L4D is on the way, it shows my HL2 as an extra copy, so i can gift that.. i also have portal.. i'm going to gift my HL2, L4D, and Portal to my brother.

Yeah, just burn the .gcf files in the steam apps folder, that is the bulk of their size. Then just download steam, place them back in there, and restart steam to get them back (it will probably download a bit, but not gigs worth) if you need to.

Alright. I have CS:Source, HL2, HL2 Deathmath. Which supposedly are still worth "40 dollars" on steam or something. So if I bought the Valve Pack I would want to gift those, but wanted to make sure I was going to get credit for it, since all I read you could gift was HL2 in Orange Box. I mean I read you can gift games to friends, but nothing about it gifting parts of a package you already own.

it seems to me that you are 'gifting' titles that you already own a copy of. it will show, as it did in my 'my games' list '1 extra copy' that you can gift. i don't think you can gift any of this pack individually. there are guest passes on some of the titles in my list.

well, my HL2 was an original purchase when it first came out. i haven't used my steam account in 4 years, and its still there. got a free t-shirt with it too.

ROFL. Now I am confused. I can't gift any of thhis pack individually?

Okay.. I already own HL2, and Counter Strike Source. If I buy this pack will it show that I have 1 copy of each of those games I can gift? (That is my question reworded.)
