Is that true? Unless there is something unique about the PS3 blu-ray remote that makes it different from all other devices, I find that hard to believe.

Having some experience programming Logitech remotes I am aware that Logitech maintains a database of remote codes that, once you indicate you have a device, those device's remote codes are downloaded to your configuration.

Wouldn't the PS3 already be in their database of codes?

The official PS3 remote is Bluetooth ONLY. Which means it will NOT work with Logitech or any other universal remote.

You need to buy the Nyko Blu-Wave, which has a receiver that plugs into the USB slots and uses Infrared, if you want compatibility with Harmony remotes.
