Well I just bought an XPS m1330 laptop, it sadly came with a 9 cell battery. Anyone know a place I can get a "real" Dell 6-cell battery on the cheap? Exclude Ebay.

I don't understand why you're putting "real" in "quotes." Dell does make real 9-cell batteries for their xps m1330's. I have one. From dell. It's a little bit different from the 6-cells in that they stick out a bit further from the back of the unit, but they last much, much longer (that's what she said). Sadly, aside from directly from Dell I'm not sure of a better place to get batteries. I've gotten batteries from the eBay before and haven't ever been disappointed. Hell - I had a 6cell directly from Dell for my m1330 one time and it failed during the 14th month. Like - completely failed. Wouldn't even hold a charge for 1/2 a second.
IMHO (as a fellow xps m1330 owner), eBay is a pretty good place to buy laptop batteries. Sure, they come from China and may have some QC issues - but it's not like Dell's paying some French Canadians $80 an hour to make their batteries, either.
