Target. Whenever I go to the stores, I hit the Clearance shelves before anything else. After I'm done with that, then I go looking for whatever I went looking for in the first place. Sometimes they have the same item on clearance, and regular price. I've seen Amazon doing similar silliness too.

well, with the different model numbers floating around, now i don't know if it's in at waterford or not, but they didn't have anything priced clearance, and the retail monkey seemed very confused that i would ask a question about clearance items.

saw it in chicago last week for $40, going to go back to see if the price dropped, they had 4 left, they also had guitar hero world tour/legends of rock, cant remember since i was not interested, with guitar for $40 for ps3 and wii

See I wonder if this is just total SD paranoia. I understand not calling in regards to something that might be a price error or the like. But calling up for an inventory check on somthing that is officially on clearance? Come on.

Calling up for an inventory check on something that is officially on clearance is a great way to ensure that item is out of stock.

Your gamble... you aren't ruining anything for the rest of us (who aren't in your area) but you never know, and to most people it just isn't worth the risk vs. laziness factor.
