[QUOTE=techyman;15880410]60 or 120 Hz[/QUOTE
The 5 series are definately 60hz. I have bought this one on BF and notice the difference with the 120Hz series (6 series and up). Mind you, it's a great HDTV for this price but if can spare another 300 bucks I would recommend going to the 120Hz model LN46A630 or 650 (glossy screen) models. A lot of discussion can be found on avsforum on this and the Sony equivalents |

Oh well, just so everyone enjoys their own TV. That's all that matters. |

120hz starts with 6 series and higher... like lnXXa630, XXa650, 750, 850, 860, 950 etc., and for people waiting to see what's on the horizon, sammy and others are shifting to LED backlighting going forward.. and many of the 2009 sammys will have LED backlit along with 240hz, yahoo widgets and better divx support etc., I am happy with my recent 850 purchase ![]() pal

isn't a problem with LED backlighting that some will "go out" sooner then others, etc (read something on wikipedia (i think) a couple of days ago)

Says any purchase through Feb 28 2009. Having a $200 rebate on the TV for NFLshop.com is big enough for me to bet that someone else has already posted that elsewhere? EDIT: Oh yeah, and ABCwarehouse won't deliver to the OC. They seem to be local only to Michigan/Indy/Ohio |

Got A500 from Fry's BF at $899. I am enjoy it with the price I paid. The 550 has more contrast ratio, but for me, I watch it in the bright room, and it is bright enough (become too bright at night). So, I saved my extra $200 for something else. Good Luck!

And as I thought, there are lots of SD posts talking about the $200 nflshop.com rebate. http://forums.slickdeals.net/show...&t=1108550 for example |

I had some request about the 10% that I mentioned earlier. Sears is doing 10% off on Tv's over $999 when you use your Sears Card.

LEDs are awesomely durable and efficient; also Wikipedia isn't exactly the most scrutinized source of information out there.
