Are these pretty good? Never used gloves while working on a car. also are the sizes standard? Same as latex gloves?
    Good? Yes.

I never used to wear gloves either but I decided to give these a shot about a year ago when they were on sale for $10. They take a little getting used to...they're a bit snug but they're supposed to be, sort of like a 2nd skin. And as someone else mentioned, they sometimes that have to be taken off when working with small parts. But if you've ever slipped with a wrench & skinned a knuckle, you know how much that can suck...these *should* prevent that from happening. $5 to protect a knuckle or two is money well spent

Latex? No way. Here's the description: "the gloves feature flexible, durable synthetic palms for superior grip and padded 2-way stretch spandex top for comfort. Double density fingers and thumb for added protection and a tailored elastic cuff for a firm, accurate fit. The gloves are machine washable."

Can't beat em for $5, IF you can find them. OOS in my area

Here's an alternative that I saw over the weekend at Harbor Freight:

What's funny is that the last time this happened, it said OOS locally. When I went there, I ordered on their kiosk to get the $5 and free shipping. Then I walked over to gloves only to find about 45 pairs of them. They matched the online price and I was good to go.

I'm in for a couple of pairs of the red (all that is left). These are great gloves!!! thanks!

BTW, the MEDIUM is available, too, in red. I have medium sized hands, so went with those. Hopefully they will fit.

It says OOS for me, but as another poster said, just go in to your Sears store and pull this up online. I'm sure they'll match it. FWIW, if you have a Harbor Freight, you can get very nice gloves for around $6 that are very comparable. I know my HF is much closer than Sears, so the savings in fuel alone is worth the extra $1 or so.

I have a pair of those Harbor Freight gloves as well as a pair of the Craftsman professional gloves. The Harbor Freight gloves don't fit very snugly so they're more of a pain to wear when wrenching. I use em when weilding the angle grinder because if they get messed up I don't care too much.

I picked up a pair of these at Harbor Freight, http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/...mber=97442, and they seem to be pretty nice. Much snugger than the blue ones and so I tend to actually wear them.
