Everybody seemed to want the blades. Was the razor not a good deal?

Just put a bath or hand towel in your hand, grasp the blade on both sides with the towel and squeeze. Takes all of 5 seconds.

Why would a wet blade go bad sooner?

To add to that, storing the unused cartridges in the bathroom (areas exposed to high moisture) tends to reduce life/ dull blades as well.

And is it true drying them saves the blades?

I grow hair quicker than Scott Calvin in The Santa Clause so I feel like I go through 2-3 razors a month.

I'm very interested in saving on razors.

I'll second the double edge safety razor. Only way I've found to avoid in grown hairs on my neck. Blades are super cheap and last a while if you dry them after use.
