I'm not sure if the two are exactly the same, as the packaging is different. DX claims that its adapter has a 100m range (which requires higher power, and I've heard they are less reliable), while FocalPrice says its adapter has a standard 10m range.

They're the same. They're manufactured and produced in the same factory, then are rebranded. The packaging is practically the same including a great majority of the text, along with the design. The two products are identical, down to the groove. Dealextreme and Focalprice sell pretty much the same items. Focalprice pretty much branched off Dealextreme and Kaidomain, both of whom were originally Fithunit, and before that were Axshop.

Gotcha, thanks for the info! Any guess what the actual range of the device is? 10m or 100m?

Hey maka! I'm planning to use it under Linux as well... it will almost certainly work. Nearly all bluetooth adapters are well-supported under recent Linux kernels, so no worries

I think I'll grab two. At this price w/ free shipping, this would be great to carry around in case I need to move some files or use my bluetooth headset w/ a computer to make calls.

It should work with all Linux distros. I have Ubuntu, Fedora, and OpenSuse on my machines. I'm getting one. It' just like a USB drive. All of them work out of the box.

Does anyone know if this read high capacity SD cards>?

Do you guys know if it comes with the software? The one (very similar if not identical) I've got from Deal Extreme didn't come with any s/w.
And yes, it did work with the XP stack, but you can't do much without Blue Soleil or whatever other s/w. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.
