i called and was told only one dd was required for an account. out of state people were welcomed as long as they meet all the requirements. i guess me and my girl friend will be making a roadtrip.

I guess that was back in the day. When Bryn Mawr Avenue had a head shop on it! Much more posh now.

BTW, I called today. The Ipod Touch wont be available to account starters until after the May 15 2x direct deposit drop dead date.

You could set it up to take direct deposit of your Federal or State refund checks. I think with Turbotax you can state how much you want to go into each account, just remembering from last year. It may be possible to open the account with the $250 and then if you are e-filing, to have it send a couple $ from your federal and state refund checks to this account via direct deposit --- 2 government direct deposits, mission accomplished.

They did a similar thing last summer for a GPS. I did it an got the item as promised. I am going to ask my wife to go for it this time around.

Just came back from signing up. They were saying that they are ending the promotion early and ending it on Monday the 23rd instead of the 28th. She said that they've had an overwhelming response and the fine print does say the offer may be withdrawn at any time.

Glad I went down and opened mine Satruday; I'm just setting up the direct deposit now. But that sort of sucks for me becuase my daugther is coming home from college at the end of the week and she was going to set up an account.
