    Office Depot Digital Camera Clearance B&M YMMV
    Went into Cary, NC office depot this morning and saw a couple of cameras on clearance. The Canon Powershot SD790 IS for 120$ was what struck me as a bargain so I figured I would post that and the others that I saw here.

    Canon PowerShot SD790 Is 10.0-Megapixel Digital Camera, Silver [officedepot.com]: 120$
    Sony Cybershot DSCW120 7.2MP Digital Camera with 4x Optical Zoom with Super Steady Shot [amazon.com]: 110$
    Sony Cybershot DSCW150 8.1MP Digital Camera with 5x Optical Zoom with Super Steady Shot [amazon.com]: 140$
    Sony Cybershot DSC-H10 8.1MP Digital Camera with 10x Optical Zoom with Super Steady Shot [amazon.com]: 170$
    KodakŪ EasyShare M863 8.2-Megapixel Zoom Digital Camera [officedepot.com]: 80$
    Nikon Coolpix S210 8MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Zoom [amazon.com]: 80$

    For the ones not listed on the office depot website I used amazon for camera information.

    Was also wondering if anyone else thought the SD790 would be worth it for a compact camera at that price?

    The best I've seen for the SD790 is $160, so I would say this is a good deal. The 790 was recently reviewed here: http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/Q...page15.asp

    It was Joint Winner of the Ultra Compact class in the dpreview "Holiday 08 Group Test". Here is the detailed review of just that camera. I like this site for digital camera reviews.

    The clearance price on 790 is 149.91 and if they mark it down more its a override and VERY YMMV!!!
    Usually if its last one and they want to get rid of it fast its marked even cheaper.

    i see that the 780 is the best since it can do HD recording?

    do you guys know how far manuals options go?

    I had been looking at the sd770 as I want an optical viewfinder. Does the sd 780 have one as well? There is also the sd1100 that is comparable to the sd770.

    the 770 does not have hd recording. the 780 has hd recording and the optical view finder.

    I prefer Canon cameras, but have no experience with Samsung cameras. Everyone I know that has a Canon loves it! Hope that helps--oh, reviews on Canons are superb as well.
