Looks like a good deal. Everyone seems to like the performance, but the fan is quite loud. I was thinking about using it with my WDTV, but the fan is a deal killer. I was hoping the hammer nas would come back in stock.

oh wow, sorry i missed the rebate. that brings it down to $184.59 if you get the 7% Bing.

still not worth the hassle of a rebate. this is not a slickdeal standard. my apologies.

This is similar to the Cavalry unit ($189AR+ship at newegg), although the Fantom website doesn't say if the Fantom version also uses the Silicon Image Steelvine processor inside the unit.

I've got the cavalry and except for a noisy fan, it's been great for far. Prices of $180-$220 (after rebate) have been available for months.
