Newegg 10% off internal external laptop hard drives ends 6/22
Didnt see this posted, searched but only found last months same deal. Im in the market for a HD, and fell upon this

Newegg.com [newegg.com] has a promotion going on till 6/22 for 10% off internal, external and laptop hard drives (up to $10) using promo code EMCHDD10A

Seems like a nice bonus for those who need them. I haven't been looking at them enough to notice a price increase before this event. Im a little to tired to look ATM, so someone look for me while I sleep! Maybe start a wiki!

Oh snap! Forgot (once again) about bing cashback! I think someone said there is a way to get 3%, IDK how to do that or link it to newegg, sign in here and click N, find newegg for 2.5% [bing.com]

To find newegg 3% cashback (which might not work with coupon) simpily search "newegg" in bing.

THIS DEAL IS 10% OFF UP TO A MAX OF $10.00 TOTAL, non-stackable with any other offer

Also, works with WDTV, making it < $90 shipped. (verified by ilikethings)

The Hitachi 500 GB 7200 RPM SATA-II OEM drive is also $45, same price as the Samsung 500 GB mentioned.

IDK what you mean? I believe you can use a External as an internal if you pop it out of the case (was going to do with a 320 WD i have) and you can use a internal in a external case.

(Oh i see sort of, maybe the lack of sleep )

I've used my internal external hard drive as an external internal one before so I think you should be fine.

xbox1-> you would need an adapter to IDE. I would look for 3.5" IDE (have a 160 in mine that I got for 40 AR about 4 years ago at CC, installed it last year as it sit collecting dust)

Im still looking for the best deal on either replacing my external with a 1tb and opening the WD 320gb and using that in my build, to just looking for a internal and use my current external. Or put the 1tb in the WD ext. and put the 320 in my build.

So the 1TB Hitachi can be had for $68 and the WD Green 1TB is $77. Is the WD worth $9 more?

Yes. The electricity savings over the year equals at least $11.

Really? The Hitachi uses that much more electricity? That's my primary drive right now. I have nearly filled 80% in 7 weeks and am looking to add more storage. I've heard good things about the WD greens as far as noise and power, but I didn't think it was that significant. I was waiting for these to come down to the $50 range, but I think I need to bite the bullet, before I run out of space.
