You must have never taken an economics class. Everything is wrong with your post. The economy is starting to stabilize which is going to bring on inflation. Further, prices only go down when supply stays the same but demand drops. In the short run firms cannot adjust supply and you get price decreases. However, the economy has been down for almost a year now, firms will have decreased production (or closed all together). Not saying we've reached rock bottom yet because there's no way of knowing that, but don't expect a future crazy drop in prices.
