And aren't Craftsman tools guaranteed for life? If it does bust I think you can return it to sears and they'll replace it.. not 100% on this though.

I'm in for the 106, been looking for a decent socket set for awhile. $44 is a small price to pay, especially since my dad seems to dislike letting me borrow his stuff.

Do they still let you turn in any piece into any sears and have it replaced if it breaks?

There was 5+ of each set at my store at Ashtabula OH. I passed on them though. I already have a Craftsman set and if I buy another I want a SK one or something a bit better. Craftsman quality is OK, but the ratchets in these sets are junk.

Yes, I just picked up the 106pc set and there's a note inside the case stating this.

Etched numbers, think matte # on a shiny surface. Can be easy to read if you just toss all your stuff into a box, but if you have your stuff organized already, there really isn't a use.

Oh and DiscoverCard offers 5% CB which may be better than BING since it doesn't say where the 2-8% falls.

The laser etching on the smaller set is a LARGE etching of the size on the side of the socket. The larger set does not have this. If you magnify the picture on Sears' site, you can see what I am refering to.

I bought a Craftsman 154 piece set two weeks ago, and back then (going through the normal Sears link via Live (Bing) was 2-8% ...but if you did a direct search like " Craftsman 154 Mechanics" it was bringing up 8% directly and those that went that way (me included) did get 8% (pending). Everyone that did the click on the sears route were it said 2-8%, got 2%.
I tried the direct route for these sets and it's showing 2%....when you click that it says 2-8% (but you can count on 2%). So Shopdiscover is the best route right now but that changes.


BTW... LOL so many of you bought and used the filler item that the $1.99 hand brush went OOS I bet the Sears folks are scratching there head and wonder WTH? Better order a lot more of those...got a lot of dirty hands out there.
