Set has had some technical issues. Read up at AVS after you buy. Has trouble with channel memory.

I bought this TV at its last sale. It says 720P, but on my xbox 360 and PS3 it will let me go to 1080P and the tv will recognize the change and show in a pop up box changing to 1080P. Now whether it actually is in it and actually saying it i dunno i have nothing to compare to. I love the color, playing Halo on the 360 the colors are virbrant, playing killzone 2 on the ps3 the colors are dark but not like black is gray it looks great! You have all kinds of settings in the options menu, if you check the other thread about this tv for the memorial day sale people have posted different ways to "hack" and get to special options for how bright the light is in the TV. As for using it as a TV itself, i don't use it that much but from what i have observed. If you don't have HD then it will look mediocre. If your not using a box that you get from comcast, att, dish network, the one that you can guide through and get your channels through it, then changing the channel through the tv itself will be slow. It is about a 1.5 to 2 second delay before it catches up. This TV is primarily for my game playing, and it looks great!! Also, the PS3's blue ray looks amazing, i watched transformers 1(since two just came out) and it was great. I would say get this TV as a basement tv or your gaming TV. If your a huge TV watcher and you don't have HD, then i would pass on this.
