I read some negative reviews on the Sears website about the detergent after it was packaged in a cardboard box. I've never used the detergent when it was packaged in a plastic container and I've never used it in the cardboard box like now. Anyone know if there was a change in the detergent?

Does this need to be bought online or can you go to the store an buy it to get this price?

Can't speak for when it was in a plastic container, but as owner of 20 of the cardboard box version, I can say we've been very pleased with the results. We have young kids who are pretty demanding on their clothes, and the detergent does a fine job.

Unsure if price is same in-store... we ordered ours online & selected in-store pickup at local Sears.

it cleans everything well but blemishes white color t-shirts. white pants looks ok after wash. I think it depends on material of the clothing. I am using this for a year now. No complaints.

I bought this several months ago when it was like 14 (maybe 12) when it was on SD. We do about 5 or 6 loads a week and have been happy with it. I like the fact you don't have to run to the store much to buy this stuff you have a large amount that will last a long time. As far as the bad reviews, whites getting blemishes, etc. I haven't noticed that. I think it compares to many other name brands on the market. If I had a complaint it would be the detergent doesn't have a strong fragrance to it but the clothes get clean.

We bought 2 boxes when this was on SD about 9 months ago or so. We just opened the second box this week- and have been VERY pleased with the results. I have 2 little boys (2 1/2 and almost 1 year), and they are very hard on clothes. We wash at least 5-6 loads per week. I will be getting another couple of boxes with the deal this time. Highly recommend!

when you say white blemishes can you elaborate? Like if I have a collared shirt with white and red stripes, the white will look blemished?

this stuff is like a staple in my weekly laundry routine. I never was a "laundry person" until college, and even then it was a once-in-a-month-or-longer grand event where I sometimes bought new clothes instead of washing what I had. Now that I have my own apartment (with a portable washer and hang-dry) this stuff gets the job done inexpensively, and it also comes out smelling and feeling clean.

I used to buy name brand liquid detergents like tide, all and cheer, but this does the same job. The only thing I do out of the ordinary is pre-mix it in a water bottle with about 12 oz of warm water. I have heard stories about directly adding it to loads and getting flakes, so dissolving it eliminates that issue in my book

Wow..all these room temperature deals from Sears keep making front page. Could it be any more obvious that SD is getting a commission from them? Most of the recent Sears deals arent even remotely hot enough to be considered FP in my opinion..especially when you factor in that in-store pickup is mandatory to avoid heavy shipping charges.

Cut it out mods...seriously. These deals would be hot at the products were SHIPPED for the price posted..but spending $3 in gas and an hour of your life driving to and from the mall just to pick up a $12 box of laundry detergent? lolol Not even close to FP worthy.
