    J and R weekend sale Canon EOS T1i with kit lens $800 or $760 After Bing CB
    J and R has their usual weekend sale going on this week and has the black Canon EOS Rebel T1i for $799 with a kit lens. This deal is good until their sale is over - usually Monday.

    I don't know if Bing Cash Back will work, but if it does, that's another 5% off, making it $760 instead of $800.

    Oops...forgot to mention shipping. $15. Still $775 isn't bad.

    They're charging $0.88 over list for the 50D body, but yet somehow you're saving $100. Not as blatant, but still a flat-out lie. Got to love marketing.

    I think that most people know that "list prices" aren't close to valid. I don't see you harping on Amazon here. Amazon grossly misrepresents list prices at every turn. i've bought so many products from them that were over 60% off. Yeah... right...

    Seriously though, I don't do any online shopping by looking at list prices. Like normal, rational people, I'm always looking at the bottom line price anyways!

    Don't let Echostorm's comments dissuade you from buying from J&R. They are a great, reputable online retailer and definitely not scammers. I've purchased several high end pieces of camera equipment from them and they've been quick, polite, very helpful, and most importantly, the cheapest! If BH, Amazon, or Newegg have a lower price, my money goes there. If J&R has the lowest price, I feel confident placing my order with them.

    That's actually why I was surprised in this case. I couldn't believe someone actually had a higher list price than Amazon. (It should be noted that in this one instance Amazon actually has the correct list price.)

    But I agree, no one should be persuaded against ordering from J&R just because of what list prices they have.
