I recommend the Acecard. The user interface is much more advance, and it won't have any lagging issues with chunky games that are found in R4s with slow micro sds.

I've read that the original R4 has been discontinued, and many fake copies are now distributed using the R4 name. In fact, the original R4 is no longer updated/supported. Go ahead and make a search for R4 in dealextreme's site. You'll see many versions.

However, the only complaints I've noticed about fake R4s are that they would simply stop working, or would stop reading the micro sd cards. The worst case would be turning your DS into a brick, but I think it's rare.

I've recently had a friend by the DSTT [dealextreme.com] (not the DSTTi [dealextreme.com]) from DealExtreme and its worked out perfectly. We didn't take a chance on the fake R4s. We haven't tried the DSTTi yet though.

That being said, I'm not sure if this is exactly a hot deal...DealExtreme always has these carts of these prices. But, if you're going to order these carts, DealExtreme is the way to go!

its not a deal, this is just regular price. i think people who post these are ones who just learned about the flash carts so they think its a deal when it isn't. at least judging from all of the other threads about these flashcarts all from dealextreme.

Dealextreme is sometimes pretty questionable about orders. I have an order I made on June 6th and it is still in processing limbo for the last 3 weeks, I have no idea when I might receive it.

I bought 4 of the DSTTs (for $5 each!) a while ago for my kids. I put all their games on the micro SD cards and took their original cartridges.

The DSTTs work great, and I could replace all of the DSTTs and micro SDs for the price of one lost/broken game! Plus, the kids get to back up and/or share their game save files.

This is pretty standard priceing from Dealextreme as others have said. If you are in a hurry you may want to try somewhere else. It sometimes takes a couple of weeks for them to ship out then another week to get to the USA. I've heard lots of complaints about finding the right software for these fake R4 cards. I recomend the Acekard with Akio software.
