Cost Per Unit Calculator - Nice Tool
I recently came across this calculator, which will tell you what two
products are a better deal. (I did this to figure out cost per unit of sam's club products because I always wondered if it was the best deal)
LINK TO CALCULATOR [myfcdc.org]
example:
Product 1. Grocery Chain has eggs for sale $1.00 per dozen
Product 2 Sam's has eggs (2 - 18 pks.) for $2.72
Price of Product 1- 1.00 - Units - 12
Price of Product 2- 2.72 - Units - 36
Price per unit of product 1 is 0.08333333333333333
Price per unit of product 2 is 0.07555555555555556
Your best value is product 2 at $0.07 per unit.
That would be $0.77 savings for every 100 units purchased.
Purchased once a week that would be $14.55
in savings a year.
Purchased once a month that would be $3.35
in savings a year.
