repped... $100 more vs the 42" LG 42LH40 (120hz) but i'm perfectly happy with my 60hz Sony bravia.

figured i'd just get the 42" and use as a giant monitor for my office. 47" monitor SHOULD look even nicer...

btw, amazon has the 47" for $942

why use a 42" monitor as an office computer? for gaming, i could see but for word processing, etc. it'll prob just hurt your neck. consider getting a 30" monitor (2560x1600) as an office monitor...that's a "standard" thing to do vs. getting a 42" TV.

as for the deal, i went with the 42". $100 is about right for the difference between a 42" and a 47" in this price range and 120Hz really sweetened the deal. good find though, OP. especially for a non-refurb.

Maybe someone can help me out.. I am a TV Noob.

I see the 42" is 120hz.. But what about the 47" I don't see any mention of the "hz"

Which one would be the better buy here?
