This came through our back door at our walmart last night, with a tag of week 41 tab break, the tag also says 298 on it, but it came up on our system at 398, but either its a mistake, or my guess there doing these 298 laptops again like they did last year. Anyways, you guys be the judge, but I'm going to guess they will be 298 next Sunday, Couldn't find to much info on this through Google, and nothing about it on here at SD, But here are some pics i got, and some specs off the side of the box.

Theres the Walmart site with some specs, and someone was asking if it had an hdmi output, but according to walmart.com it only has a vga. and the box says nothing about it when i took a second look at it, and I cant open them till that day.

I also heard that the laptop will be $298 on Saturday. Thanks for the specs on the laptop, as I had a little trouble looking for that.

Seems like a "OK" deal, yeah this is very much likly part of Wal-Mart's Secret sales. Every year they have had a laptop on there first week. AND, didn't have a laptop again through the entire shopping season for this price. So for instance, they won't have one on black friday.

My recommendation is, this week the laptops will be very easy to get at 298$, and I don't forsee them having another laptop this cheap. Past 2 years they haven't.

This looks pretty good but I'm not sure about the video. If you are using it for browsing the net and business apps it should work well. It looks like it has an HDMI out port so you could play a DVD or other video through your HD-TV. It probably won't do well for gaming. I would like a built in camera, but I could overlook that for the price.

How can you tell it has an HDMI port?

Looks like this is a single core processor which is a bit disappointing, but I guess that's what you get for $300.

    Thanks,

I remember buying a laptop and a tv at best buy one black friday, and neither product number was on the manufacturer website. I think a lot of times, large retailers will special-order the entire run of a product from a manufacturer and sell them at a deep discount during the holidays.
