Only difference seems to be the drives. Is one preferable over the other?

sounds pretty decent, but not as good as the deal the other day for similar unit w/2 750GB drives for ~$300 from hp...I'm mad at myself for missing out on that one.

In for one with the WD Green drive. Been keeping an eye out for one of the HPs or the Acer for a month or so. There will probably be a better deal someday, but this is pretty decent. This is basically the EX487 for $410 out the door.

I pulled the trigger on their 750gb combo deal last month. OP's deal seems to be hotter!

Should I get one more??

Yeah, the WD is preferable if you ask me.

what cpu can you buy seperately to upgrade performance? will it take a video card? thanks. I am wondering if i can buy a amd mobo combo and add Windows home server and have a more powerful system. Already have case, mem, psu, hard drive

If you are asking those questions, then this is not right for you. This is a media server with a few nice features. This does not take a video card. If you want to upgrade the cpu, then go for a ex490 and upgrade the processor like the ex495. An important point is low power consumption versus a "powerful" system.
