Wow. This is great if I can get one! I currently have a 360 and love using it as a Media Center / Playon / Netflix Streaming / DVD Player for my Family Room. I've been really wanting to get a 2nd one for my basement so I can play with the Audio Up and slay Zombies without worrying about the kids being around


Edit: Any word on whether this starts at Midnight?
Edit2: FYI: I remember one year waiting for a Wii and although the line started (I do not expect the same line issues on this) before midnight at a 24 hour WM, they did not release the consoles until 8am.

Now that I have been thinking about it, last year when they did this, it started at 9 I believe.. even in the 24 hour stores. People lined up at 10pm or so. They were very limited in availability with only 10 or so available, so they were spoken for by the time it started.

I believe the start time of 9 was so that best buy and other stores wouldn't be open to do the price match. By the time they opened, it was too late for the price match as walmart was sold out.

Not sure if you can return/rebuy at the store in the morning since they are advertising it as limited availability.

Some stores may be different, but I did a couple of these sales last year. I seem to recall it wasn't midnight, but a really early time in the AM that the sales started. Like 5 or 6 AM in the 24 hour Walmarts or something. So we walked in, went back into the electronics department, and they had waiting queues set up for us. They didn't start ringing stuff up until 6 AM I believe.

However I do recall in this case it was a Friday morning and not a Saturday morning. I think the Saturday thing may be that more people can escape work on a Saturday and come to the sale. But I would not be surprised if it starts at 6 AM and not midnight. Hopefully we will have clarification by then. I don't want to show up at midnight then feel compelled to stand there til 6 AM.

I think the last 2 times I did this was for a PS3 with a gift card, and a $99 HD-DVD player.

Can you do the netflix streaming without xbox live gold. Can it done via the media center extender funtionality?

As far as I know, Netflix streaming is only accesible thru the 360, for Live Gold members. Perhaps a modded linux version might work, but never messed with that.

I can definitely do NetFlix streaming via PlayOn instead of Xbox Live, but I'm not sure if it can be done "direct" via media center. Maybe some other SDers have experience with it?

I LOVE PlayOn just for the ability to stream Hulu

I don't plan to camp out for this, but I will be sure to swing by WM early tomorrow morning. If I get one, GREAT. If I don't at least I'll come home with some toilet paper.

not sure if this was stated within the between pages 4-12, but for those who wants to return without a receipt, walmart has a policy against them if the item is over $50
