For those in CA (or anywhere where Frys and or Dell charge sales tax), this comes out to be a better deal than the ones in the past [I think!]. At least after Bing.
Of course, for those who live in states where Frys and Dell don't charge sales tax, this isn't as good a deal as the $897 Frys one

It has 120Hz technology, which reduces motion blur, but it's still a bit pricey compared to similar TVs. Highs: Picture quality was generally excellent for HD, very good for SD. It was able to display the finest detail from our best HD programs. Color accuracy was excellent. Brightness level was good, suitable for most rooms. Black levels were generally good, though a bit bright on the darkest scenes. Excellent reproduction of scenes with subtly shaded light-to-dark areas. Contrast was good, typical of the majority of TVs we've tested. For standard-def, the film-mode operation (3:2 pulldown) was excellent, and effectively eliminated jagged edges--"jaggies"--on movie content. Sound was good, which should be fine for typical programming. Has Sony's Motionflow120Hz technology that doubles the TV's frame rate, which we found can effectively reduce, but not eliminate, motion blur. Lows:We were able to optimize color only after we fine-tuned the individual RGB (red/green/blue) color controls in the advanced menu, a more complex process. For HD, film-mode operation (3:2 pulldown) was ineffective--we saw jagged edges ("jaggies") on our 1080i HD movie content. Viewing angle was somewhat limited--the picture lost some color, contrast, or brightness as we moved off from dead center. The rear jacks' labels were somewhat difficult to read
