Hi All,
Last thanksgiving I purchased a Tom-Tom GPS with mail-in rebate instructions. I followed the instructions and mailed the same. In two weeks I got confirmatin that my rebate was received. Have ever since following up or end up yelling at customer rep. Am not sure I would receiving my rebate amount now, but thought of warning you all in advance. Think twice before going to Pep Boys Auto for any purchase especially mail-in rebates.

I have always received my rebates from pep boys, except for this last time I got a free tire (buy 3 get 4th free). They said it wasn't a qualified purchase, but it was. I re-sent the information but it was beyond the due date. Never got my rebate and didn't feel like calling and yelling at them.

Things get lost in the mail all the time. Sorting machines sometimes damage mail also.

Yelling at the CSR over the phone won't help a damn thing. If I worked in a call center and someone yelled at me I sure as heck would flag that person's account as hostile.

Have you taken all the paperwork with you into the store and asked them why it was denied/not sent? I've had good luck with that approach when it involves store rebates. Every time I've had all the copies of what was sent (I even scan the envelope to prove it was sent to the right address) and was in the right, the store made good on the rebate.
