I wanted to mention that we bought this tv, same model i think, im pretty sure it was, and it was 1549 in the store, non-Aquos version from Walmart. We read the reviews on walmart.com and there were only 2 or 3. Either all, but definatly two of them had something to say about the sound. One said that he returned his because he didnt want to spend more money on a sound system, the other said it had terrible sound but.. he said he tweaked his cable box settings and it was fixed. I have dishnewtwork, and already had a 47" lcd tv, and the audio was fine before, so when we hooked up the Sharp, the sound just peirced my ears. Now with that said, I must mention I do have ear problems, but my husband did not like the sound either. I must say this was the BEST picture, of course thats just my opinion, it certainly beat out the others that they had for sale. But with my ears, I couldnt tolerate it. And i didnt want to have to bother to turn on my sound system every time that I wanted to watch tv. So I'm not trying to sway either way, just if you have ear problems, or dont want to bother with the sound system, then you may want to go and try and look at the displays and if they will let ya hear it at your walmart to test it for yourself. I dont think ours did, we returned it for a tv with better speakers. We may have even sacraficed a better picture for the sound, and that may sound crazy to most, but like i said, I have terribly senstive ears, and have had problems with them since i was little. Again, it was an EXCELLENT picture. Lots of manual controls, I did like that about it. took some getting used to that the hookups were on the right side, when we were always used to them being on the left. Just thought this might help someone,

I don't suppose there's a way to add Bing on top of this if they don't show it on the webpage, huh?

There is some discussion about this deal on the sharp 46in related deal from yesterday. It's the same sale.
http://slickdeals.net/forums/show...?t=1642068 A couple people, including myself have had luck getting the store to PM to the website, but the vast majority have not been able to do so. Most stores seem to be OOS anyway. The TV isn't greatest, but it's certainly great for the price. Picture quality is great. Has all the manual adjustments, which I have not played with yet. Not many reviews online, so I was slightly worried. Looks good to me. Some complains about the sound online, but it's fine for me. I'll likely add a surround system soon anyway, but for now, it's sufficient. It's decent, and for the price, it's really a good deal. Haven't had much time to play with it since last night, but so far so good. Besides, WM has a good return policy, so if it sucks, take it back and quit complaining. |

Wow these are some amazing prices. LG 55' for $1198 and now this. This seems very hot, I doubt BF deal can beat this 52' though.
