Car Audio: Alpine CDA-9887 $246.98 SHIPPED!
Wow... stellar deal for a top of the line head unit.

If you're not into car audio you probably won't appreciate all of the features this unit has, including fully active crossovers.

    Link here. [6ave.com]

Another thing to note is that 6th Ave is an authorized internet dealer.

    $259.97 before $12.99 coupon code AFL5 = $246.98

Do a search. Not going to find them new for under $270 even on eBay.

    Edit:

I did a search of completed auctions on eBay for you.
    $194 - Used
    $192 - Used
    $239 - Used
    $250 - Used

New ones are going for $269 and up. And they're not from an authorized Alpine dealer.

Did you post this on any car audio forums? It should sell out quickly.

As I already posted the lowest you're going to find a used one on eBay is in the $190 range with average shipping of $9.

can an amatuer with little to no knowledge install a head unit? I unplug the negative from the car battery, unscrew/ pop off the console. Then I have to unscrew the existing radio, is there something else that needs to be done to get the stock radio out? How about wiring, I was looking at getting a wiring harness off ebay, I dont even know if I need one, I just think I do,thats how little knowledge I have. I can always pull up a youtube video or download some directions on the whole install process.
I was looking at an alpine cda-105 until this post popped up. Id like to save the cost of installation and learn a little bit in the process as well as have the ability to remove the radio when I go to sell my car.

Nice. I really like my Alpine I have, but ive decided I wont buy another. Their proprietary interface expansions cost way to much. Mine is ipod, usb, bluetooth, hd radio, and sirius ready but all the adapters cost like 150 each. Then being able to plug in more then one is an adapter purchase which is a nice chunk of change also.

I know the others do this also but getting a Pioneer that has bluetooth built in and USB ports directly on it without going through an interface helps alot.

I use a 9833 too, it has big balls of power for a head unit. I am tempted too but it feels like I would betray the 9833.

    Good thing I am broke.
