    Great first post!

I think the 10% off BB coupon is off regular prices.

Anyone know if I can add a cable to my $787.99 TV to get the 36 month financing for Home Entertainment over $799?

    Filler needed if so.

X is the lower end, 720p set without anti-reflective glass coating. X/U/C are the "cheap" Panny sets of the current model year (U 1080p / X&C 720p). Less res, less features, less quality (still a mid-top teir brand, though, so these have a base level of quality the crap brands can't touch).

S is higher end, 1080p, better panel, anti-reflective glass, less power consumption..

Panny model progression in the current year is:

    Z > V > G > S > U > X > C

    The Z is only available in 54". X / C are 720p sets.

Personally I'd save a few bucks more and try to get an S. I don't think it will be long before the S series 50" are in the $750-$800 range. That would be a long-term keeper set.

What is going on with TV prices nowadays? Are TVs becoming obsolete or something?

Panasonic EPP has had it at that price for a while. It's only a meh deal.

I think this holiday season is going to be UGLY for retailers and great for consumers if you have money to spend. These early-season price wars are really surprising. Awesome - but surprising.
