I've been waiting for a deal on an illuminated gaming keyboard for a while and I'd concluded that I'd like to have either the Sidewinder or the Lycosa, so I'm in for one. Maybe they'll be a better deal on Black Friday, but I doubt it.

I think the negativity is a result of key-blocking. Supposedly this keyboard doesn't like it if you push 3 buttons at one time, but that's only a problem for people who play certain types of games where they press that many at once. Still, it is unbecoming of a gaming keyboard and a large negative.

Terrible flaws for any WSAD gamer.
I found typing on this keyboard to be extremely frustrating as I constantly had to go back and change errors caused by this keyboard.
I have not had that problem with other normal keyboards.
Besides being terrible for WSAD gamers and the hell faster typers would go through on this keyboard, it is a pretty decent gaming keyboard.
I liked the removable number pad, the large dials/wheels for backlight brightness and volume, and other aesthetics.
A somewhat annoying/minor flaw is the esc key not being above the ~ key. The reason is due to lengthened F keys... Don't know why, but it is another design flaw.

Yeah, I can see how it would be an issue for WASD people. I'm one of those freaky guys who uses my mouse to go forward and back (left button forward, right back) so I don't use WASD; it just feels so foreign to me. Instead I use Z and X for strafe and Control and Shift for fire and alternate fire. (My FPS play style evolved from using arrow keys to move way back when and Control for fire, probably from playing the original Quake.)
