There definitely should be a fry's on the east coast to compete with worst buy. I just found out there's a microcenter in NJ (Paterson) which is about 40 minutes from where I am but at least there is one!

    Great Deal OP

good deal, gonna check out the 40 tosh...

Well, I pulled the trigger last week for Panasonic 42" Plasma X1 series. But it was under $500 but 720p.
Well, I heard so many arguments, first in Plasma technology Panasonic beat any other model any day, second there isn't much difference between 720p and 1080p.
Last but not least LG Plasma usually sucks, because my friend has LG same model which on sale here and when he sees my Panny picture it was obvious in the picture quality.
I am telling this because I bought Panny, this is what I read in forums.
If I would have bought Panny then I would love to buy this one.

How's this LG 42"? Are the reviews good? especiall on image quality. If I undestand this correctly, this model doesn't have the Internet content function, right?

I see you already have regrets on purchasing a 720p set. LOL.

I use a 42" 1080p tv as my computer monitor and it's great. I just lay back when I want to watch a movie. When you watch tv or movies, generally bigger is better No one goes to the theatre to see a small screen

Is a LCD like this LG 42" good for using as a PC monitor? or is a Plasma better?

hah! I just bought the Toshiba 40" 1080P LCD HDTV from ebay (tigerdirect) for $579 (free shipping and no tax) last friday...got the bing $46 CB so it finally costed me about $530. Being in CA, tax sucks

I just hope that this tv doesn't go below this price any soon otherwise I'd keep thinking, I should have waited

Not technically the "coast", but there are 2 stores in Georgia.
