Nice, how do you like the build quality, etc?

    Any complaints about it?
They are very well build. During the install I was amazed at the attention to detail. and easy of installation.

Disadvantage of Bosch to my knowledge:
    * No hard food disposal. Chunks simply accumulate in the filters and you have to manually clean them.
    * No powered drying, everything essentially air dries.
    * This particular model doesn't have much in the way of fancy rack features. Not height adjustable, no wine glass fold-down guides, etc. Not that you usually use those features.

I had a Bosch and just got rid of it. Hated it. It couldn't handle food as it just had a trap so it smells quite bad and it didn't dry very well. It was very quiet though.

He got his at 75% after wheeling and dealing the manager into literally giving it to him.

These are quiet! My parents have had these in their last condo and now their new condo. You can hardly hear it running. (As opposed to my old Kenmore type that is on it's last leg. It was the previous owner's choice, not mine. It's about 14 - 15 years old now and I only run it at night when nobody is going to be on the first floor. You can heard it loud and clear when you're standing on the walkway of our second floor. I know it's ready to die any day but until it's dead, husband won't buy a new one. It still cleans fine, that's the problem. lol

That's awesome. I just got an email from their customer service confirming the order and color. Pretty good service from what I've heard and seen thus far

The no food disposal aspect is typical of Euro-style models. Had one of these awhile back and got rid of if for that reason. Otherwise it was a nice machine.

For anyone thinking of buying another Bosch appliance in conjunction with this dishwasher, check out this rebate for $100 or $150:

Hmm... is there a way to hook up an external disposal? Do most ppl have disposals anyway?

    Dont do it

These machines are very poor at competently cleaning dishes

    Also note

Bosch appliances are the favorite of the appliance repairmen, translation they make a lot of $ fixing them

That's not really the issue. I had mine drain into a disposal, but the problem is that there is a trap/filer in the bottom of the dishwasher that strains food while the other type has a grinder in the bottom as part of the pump. What you end up with is gunky food in the filter that you have to constantly clean out and after a while the filter just starts to stink. We tried everything and couldn't get it to not smell so we replaced the dishwasher.

That sounds horrible and so not worth it. Good price but I will pass on this.

But aren't you *supposed* to rinse off your plates to get the larger debris off before you put it into the dishwasher? I remember someone telling me to do that. It sorta makes sense if you think about it.

Great price, but reviews I am reading (google the model number) say poor performance in cleaning and the racks are not well positioned.
