For those getting this as a gift and with the Win7 Starter, remember, changing the desktop wallpaper is restricted (basically you can't do it "easily"). This may be a deal breaker for some, as the Wife/SO/Parent/Child/etc may find it horribly awkward not being able to change their wallpaper.

Hey -- not sure if this was posted in prior posts... but BB has a combo with printer purchase ($60 off printer) that's pretty slick... Get a Lexmark $99 Wireless printer (currently on sale for $69.99) for $9.99 additional over the $229 netbook purchase .... just tried it in my cart, and it works ....
Deal getting slicker all the time ... hope I did this Wiki update thing right... sorry if I screwed up.... (BigfootDenny)

Also another nice little tip for this machine ,format the hdd and do a clean install of the OS of your choice, it comes loaded with alot of crappy bloatware. Then go to synaptics.com upgrade to the latest drivers and then google "synaptics 2 finger scroll" its a small app that runs in the background but opens up more multi touch options to the touchpad like 2 finger tap to right click, and 3 finger scrolling like a mac, reallys helps you navigate around alot faster.

Agree, would love to know from where you found out about BB price.

Great price on both of these machines. Hmm...Is $50 worth Win7 and the larger drive? Probably. But to get a netbook for sub $250 is very attractive.

With the Atom Processor I wouldn't run even Windows 7 starter on it. The O/S even at it's minimal state requires at least 500-600 megs of memory. That doesn't leave a lot of room for any apps.

While I like 7 on a laptop/desktop it is still more of a memory hog than XP.

From what I have read ppl are running it fine on their netbook.

Windows 7 ran like a champ on my Dell Mini 9 with 512MB of RAM. The only reason I went back to XP (TinyXP) is because I only have 8GB of HD space.
