Proview TV-IP100W-N Wireless Internet Camera 39.99
Tiger Direct has Proview TV-IP100W-N Wireless Internet Camera for 39.99 plus shipping unless you order over $100 you can also apply bing for 6.5% discount.

    http://www.tigerdirect.com/applic...=T156-2506

Because of the -N I am not sure if it requires an N router. But this is the cheapest I have seen a wireless ip camera.

Free shipping if you get 3. Also, Bing CB 5%, search Tigerdirect, then hit "15% Tiger Direct" link on left column under "Related Searches", then click the 5% TigerDirect sponsor. (Not sure how 6.5% was found by OP).

Saves $6 with 3. And free shipping saves $6.99.

To get Bing CB 6.4%, go to http://www.bing.com/cashback On the left hand side click on "cashback stores" Under "Top Stores" in the center , click on the "Tigerdirect" logo underneath which 6.4 % cash back is listed

I don't know what the -N is referring to, but it doesn't seem to be related to the N protocol. Far as I can tell from the spec, it's a standard 802.11b/g protocol device.

Seems like a very good price, esp. for a wireless IP camera w/ no rebate. Newegg is selling it for $100 AR + shipping, Amazon $113 shipped, and Buy.com $93 AR shipped. Just not very common to find any decent wireless IP camera <$100, and <$50 is rarer than hens teeth.

So this is a good camera? I was considering adding this as a nanny cam.

    Any recommendations?

Most devices at this price level ($100-200 MSRP) are going to be very similar in image quality, performance, features, etc. You really need to step up substantially in price ($300 and well above) to get to that next level. Most everything at this level is CMOS and 640x480, and perhaps other optional features that increase the price a bit (pan & tilt, sound, night vision, etc.). I strongly suggest visiting the TRENDnet website and browsing through their selection, you'll see what I mean. Many have emulators and even live demos. Since I don't have this model specifically, I can't say it's going to be ideal for everyone. But I do have the TV-IP410 (wired only, wish it was wireless) which supports pan & tilt and got it for $100 @ Newegg about 18 months ago. I strongly suspect the image quality of this TV-IP100W-N is very similar to my own unit.

I just don't think you're going to find these features and image quality at this price anywhere else. You *might* find a similar low-end IP camera on a VERY rare occasion for $60-70, and usually wired only, that's about it. $40 + shipping and no rebates is pretty darn good at these devices go. You might not see that kind of price again for a couple YEARS, that's how rare it is.

If you spend at least $100, then shipping is free. So if you buy three and consider bing cashback (btw, I think ShopDiscover is 10% if you signed up for double cashback!, hmm, may even be able to collect both, use bing first, then ShopDiscover, at least I've heard others claim this has worked in the past), you’re looking at about $112 total ($37 ea.), shipped. And if you don’t like it, I don’t think you’d have any problems reselling it, even at a nice profit.

free beta and looks like this camera works with it

    http://lifehacker.com/5404307/vit...ity-camera

Vitamin D allows you to specify the size of objects that will trigger events and set up detection windows to only monitor activity in specified areas of the video frame.like wanting a door to be monitored for people leaving, or a parking lot to be monitored for vehicles arriving

I have 4 of the wireless to the box, to the computer style cams, they are pretty bad for distance, I have had to add external antennas. I found these sort of on my way out the door and made a quick post. The hottest thing in this town right now is trailers. Just using the cams I have I have caught two trailers being stolen, two guys breaking into cars.
I have been looking for these kind of camera's on sale for ages. What sold me on these is the 3 year warranty. I would recommend that if your going to ftp these to a server that you password the directory, as ip cams that stream or upload to a server can be traced back thru google. These cams are also more secure than the wireless ones that I have, because all you need is the box and a screen to see the video, which if they are indoors can show whats going on, like some of the baby monitor cams. Also the newer multicams the reciever box only views one cam at a time. I love my cams though to watch the animals in the yard, the weather, and just keeping on eye on whats going on outside.

f' it, bought it... for $40 it seems like nothing touches the price...i guess even if its mediocre, it will do until I can find a good deal on a Pan Tilt Zoom camera
