I plan on building a pc and i was suggested a Corsair 850TX. Will this psu do the same trick as that one?

I plan on building a pc and was told to buy the Corsair 850TX for my set up. Will this one do the same trick for my pc? is there anything i should check before buying it?

Please be aware, you're comparing apples/oranges here. Corsair blows Rosewill out of the water. It would be like comparing a Ford Fiesta to a Mercedes. I'm not sure what kind of warranty Rosewill has, but my 520W Corsair PSU has been running strong for 3-years without a hitch and carries a 5-year warranty... extremely long for this type of product.

What kind of system do you have? The Rosewill would probably do the trick but it ain't gonna do it better. For a 1000w psu it is relatively light on the 12V rail which is the one that matters. It has 75amps compared to 70amps that the Corsair 850TX has. That's not a huge difference. The Corsair 1000HX for instance has 80A and the Enermax Revolution 1050w has 88A on the 12v rail. So you can see it's not exactly up there with the best 1000w psu's and it barely has more power than a 850W psu. As well, the Corsair is built by CWT who's made a very good name for themselves in the psu business while the Rosewill is made by ATNG who's nothing more than average. Go with the Corsair, don't fall into the hype that you need 1000w.

I beg to differ. According to the images, this power supply provides 90 amps total across its 12v rails. And yes of course he doesn't NEED 1000w, no systems do, however if he's going to be getting an 850W power supply he might as well nab this 1000w for the same money. Since it'll outperform the power supply he mentioned, why not?

Owning a Rosewill power supply, I will vouch that they're rock solid. This is definitely not comparing a Ford Fiesta to a Mercedes, it is more along the lines of comparing a Ford Fiesta to a Ford Fiesta. Their power supplies come with a 3 year warranty, and I wouldn't be surprised if my power supply outlasted that. Get the PSU that's the cheapest for what specifications you need, which in this case seems to be this Rosewill.
