I believe these are plastic but pretty decent still (thick and quite heavy)

the image of the Poker Superstar Poker Set looks virtually identical to a set i got last christmas (the chips not the container) so i assume they are basically repackaged with a nice little tip book and cards ect.

As for the chips, yes they are plastic, and they arent quite as heavy as some clay and composite chips, but overall they are quite fun to play with and are great for family games, they do have some nice mass to them and make a nice sound when stacking them. The storage rack is good as well as long as you keep the metal container it came with.

Overall i give the quality 7/10 they are much MUCH better than the standard cheap thin plastic chips as they are designed to mimic a real casino chip, but obviously you wouldnt have any trouble telling the difference between this and a real clay chip. but for value i give it a 9/10 as you are getting well beyond your moneys worth for this set.

Overall if you are looking for poker night with friends or family and want a set that feels good to play with but arent looking for the bells and whistles of the clay chips and screen printing ect then this is a good inexpensive set that you wouldnt mind if a few chips end up lost behind the couch.

(of course this is all based on the assumption that this is the same set that i have, the container, minus the poker stars stuff, carrier and chips in the picture look virtually identical.) Like i said i ordered 4 sets and am looking forward to adding them to the pile.

In the hand they have a nice heft to them, but if you have them side by side with a few 12g clay chips you could tell the difference.
