True but Amazon will still cover the purchase if there are any problems. Plus Vanns has been around for along time. They have over a 9 reseller rating

I had a klipsch promedia 2.1 pc speaker system. I would like to buy something more serious. This pair seems to be good. I also have to buy a receiver to be able to use this, right? I purchased a harman kardon 48 dvd player so I think the receiver is the only additional thing I need. Is this pair good without a subwoofer?

    Thank you in advance!

Polk speakers all the way although someone else will no doubt say different. At least they kick a$$ in our house.

Denon receiver 7.1 although we use 5.1 which is more than enough for me. Husband would go for 7, but no way I'm going for it. And we all know who usually wins, right?

Klipsch has a harsh sound to them. I personally don't like them I demo a set in home and didn't enjoy them a friend of mine has them and the way his house is set up they work great but again I couldn't watch movies all day. For the price there going for you could atleast demo them you get free shipping if your looking for some speakers. Klipsch is a good brand it just not the right sound for most people.

Most of you .Your ears will thank me later

I recently got the Klipsch Synergy Quintet III set and for the money these speakers are amazing! I'm not an audiophile so those are more than fine for me at this point in time. I listen to music and watch movies, both have great lows and are crystal clear at a very low volume, perfect for late at night. I'm going to buy a set of these B-3's for the front to create a 7.1, cant wait.

I have a klipsch 7.1 setup at home and I do like them very much. Everyone has different tastes though. I can tell you that this is a deal if you want them for your personal home theater, but if you're thinking about buying them to turn them arounad and make a quick buck, think again. I had boxes of these after the Circuit City out of busniess sale and it took FOREVER to unload them. I used what little cash i made to basically get a free Klipsch setup for myself but I wont make a mistake like that again.

    1. Not the best set-up that Klipsch offers (obviously), actually one of the lower range ones, but if you are in the market for a smaller system, this is a good way to go. According to the website,
"... this recommended system offers high-performance technology at an affordable price and invites new listeners to discover the Klipsch sound experience."

Not the right sound for SOME people. I have a klipsch set-up and love it. I have heard what you are are saying about the sound from other people, but I have also heard it argued just as much. I demoed a few brands in my home and was happiest with the Kilpsch. And we had to move to an apartment for a year just recently, and I still think it sounds great. My point is, don't listen to other people's opinion of the sound, try it yourself. Everyones taste is different, and if you are getting this set-up you are probably not an audiophile anyways, or you are using it in a smaller room, so I don't think it would be an issue.
