Does anyone have any feedback on this router? Looks pretty good from the reviews on Buy.com.

Very basic router, nothing fancy. Quality of enclosure feels a bit cheap, flimsy. But it does the job, just don't expect anything except the pure basics. I’ve used several when doing pro-bono work (family and friends). But I never paid more than $5-10 for it either. For a few bucks more, we've seen much better. For $10-$20 you can easily get an 802.11g router off Craigslist. Even if it looks used it would probably look better than this thing - and have more functionality.

this setup keeps anyone who taps into the WEP network from getting at shared resources on the computers (only a free ride to the internet on a "slow" 1 mbit circuit). not likely, as the house is in the middle of a swamp (literally), but you never know.... |
