Does anyone have any feedback on this router? Looks pretty good from the reviews on Buy.com.

Very basic router, nothing fancy. Quality of enclosure feels a bit cheap, flimsy. But it does the job, just don't expect anything except the pure basics. I’ve used several when doing pro-bono work (family and friends). But I never paid more than $5-10 for it either. For a few bucks more, we've seen much better.

basic, fugly, but they work. have one set up specifically to feed a satellite box via wireless for on-demand streaming. set up months ago and has never needed a reset.

If you’re asking whether this can be bridged to another router, the answer is NO. As I said earlier, this is a very basic, no frills router. No bridging of any kind.

For $10-$20 you can easily get an 802.11g router off Craigslist. Even if it looks used it would probably look better than this thing - and have more functionality.

it's not serving as an ethernet bridge for the satellite box, it's wired to the main router (a newish linksys flying saucer) to isolate the "tv" network from the "pc" network. the satellite box can only to WEP, while the main router (the "pc" network) is configured to use WPA2..

this setup keeps anyone who taps into the WEP network from getting at shared resources on the computers (only a free ride to the internet on a "slow" 1 mbit circuit). not likely, as the house is in the middle of a swamp (literally), but you never know....
