$10 Pizza Hut Large Stuffed Crust Meat Lovers, toss in tax and delivery charge and tip, it adds up to less than 1 of these pizzas....plus they arrive already hot and rdy to eat...no need to preheat the oven, defrost the pizza, cook it, etc, etc. In that amount of time, I can order online and have it delivered in less time.
May not taste as good as the pizzas at the Lou's restaurant...but sure as hell more convenient and cheaper. |

Personally, I have had their frozen pizzas (and dine-in as well) and I'm not a fan of either.
The question isn't whether this is a slickdeal on pizza, but rather if it's a slickdeal on LOU MALNATTI's pizza. So, if it's not a good deal, post an alternative site with identical product for less money. Otherwise, it's like stating that OCZ RAM is overpriced because you can buy generic RAM cheaper. Adding a whole 16 ounce doughball is a bit on the absurd side as far as making it a great deal, but it costs more to ship that dough than it actually costs to make.

That doesn't make Restaurant Week at Nobu a bad deal... |

I brought it home, but just couldn't bring myself to eat it. Never went there again, too many better choices around. |

Lou Malnati's pizzas are amazing! I used to live in Chicago and either went there or to Ginos way too often. Now that we live out of state, we'll go there upon any visit to chicago or we'll have the pizzas flown in, as we have done many, many, many times. The price is a bit expensive, but if you crave great Chicago pizzas, it's definitely worth the cost.
This deal isn't great, as it is the same price as always, but you do get their new dough product for free. And, while their dough is amazing, I'm not sure it's the trigger point unless you were craving their pizza in the first place. |

that said i lived across from a lous for 4 years and while their pizza is good some of the other chicago pizza places (Viccinos, Giordanos) are much better imho, but everyone has their favorites and they are all about the same price. if we order one its about all we can do to eat one slice and i'm a pretty big eater. when we ordered our first giordanos i was shocked that the pizza weird so much. we were fortunate enough to live next to one of them when i first moved here

I'll give it a TU, just because I know how expensive they usually are

I give this a thumbs up - especially for people outside the Chicago area who miss authentic Chicago pizza. I am lucky that it is only a 2 and a half hour drive to the closest Lou's so I get a chance to go there a few times a year. Maybe this would be a good "Cubbie's opening day skip day at work party" food to serve ??? Now all I need to do is get some Old Style, a crockpot full of Italian Beef, and we got ourselves a party.....any slickdeals out there on that?
And our freedom's consuming itself

Now, Papa John's, on the other hand, is pure crap here. Add to it, my time is far more valuable to me than apparently you spending $17.50 for that small pizza is to you before figuring in the prep time, etc.... To each their own. |
