Dell Vostro V13 "Hidden" in outlet from $419 (Magnesium 0.65" thin / Celeron 1.3GHz / 2GB / 250GB / Win 7 Home Premium / Bluetooth / 6 Cell)

The dell webpages say the V13 is not yet available in the outlet, and you cannot directly select it when sorting laptop model, yet there are a bunch of Vostro V13's when you sort the list.

This is like the poor man's Adamo (it is actually lighter) at 0.65" thick and 3.5lbs. New ones start at $449 with Ubuntu, $549 with Win 7 Home Premium.

Dell Outlet [dell.com]
Make sure "Vostro Laptops" is selected under "Stockrooms"
Click on the column "Model" to sort by model (may have to click twice to get reverse sort order (so there is a down arrow in front of "model")

There are a bunch of configurations. The cheapest is $419 for

Celeron 1.3GHz
2GB
250GB
Win 7 Home Premium
Mobile Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD
Bluetooth
Wireless B/G
6 Cell Battery
1.3MP Webcam
13.3" Display
Refurbished

More expensive models have ULV C2D processors, up to 500GB HDD, and Wireless N

Also, the acer I was looking at has a dual core, vs the single sore in the vostro. Any suggestions?

The cheapest dual core is $529, but it is core 2 duo (SU7300) and the 1410 would have a celeron dual core.

All things considered, the acer prob will have better performace...but the dell is oh so prettier...
