Canon camera trade-up

I called and asked about my EOS 650, they offered me a REBEL XS kit for $359 + tax + $10 shipping.

They phone call took an hour I was on hold for a very long time but yeah I took the deal, the rep was surprises I still have a EOS 650.

I still have an EOS 650 I got it from my grandfather and it still works or it did a few years ago when I used it last. If I had the money that is what I would trade for an XS also.

Cant beat this deal, love my new XS and keeping the EOS 700 lens was a bonus to boot!

I emailed in and was offered EOS 50D for my old 10D for $759 w/ 28-135 lens. $629 without lens. Anyone know if the prices will go down in November? Earlier in the thread, someone has said that they recheck inventory every three months and November was the beginning of the next cycle. Anyone know? TIA.

I think that's a great price with the lens! It's the 28-135 IS, right? I sold one out of my 40D kit on eBay for over $250. Even if prices go down in November, I can't imagine them going down that much. I'd jump on the kit for $760 if I was you

My S3 iS lens crapped out. Sent the camera in to Canon for repair and they wanted $159 plus shipping. Since I can get the same camera on ebay for less, I saw this post, called Canon and asked about an upgrade to the sx10. I couldn't get it for less than $300 anywhere so paying $225 inc. shipping and warranty was a bargain.
They of course are keeping my old camera. I pity the schlub who gets it next. I was pretty hard on the thing. LOVED it though until the lens jammed.

Go to Tech Support and submit an email inquiry for Loyalty Program or an issue with what your camera (make one up if you'd like). I actually had several issues with mine. They send you an auto reply immediately then a Tech Support person with follow up with some questions. If your camera is out of warranty, they can offer you the Loyalty Program trade in. They got back to me within a few hours.

Shipping charge for your broken camera?

No new cameras yet. Just called about my SD1000 that had a recent collision with the tile floor. Same offer of SD890IS, SX110IS, SX10IS. I love the Elph cameras and definitely want another. Thoughts on whether it's better to trade for the 890 or just buy new?
