Amazon has BUFFALO WZR-HP-G300NH DD-WRT Wireless N High Power Router & Access Point for $63 with free shipping after applying coupon code GXTPOFES. Next lowest on Google Products from stores that have it in stock is $88 shipped. Thanks oneandsix

Quote from the SmallNetBuilder Review : Closing ThoughtsThe WZR-HP is Buffalo's current top-of-line draft 11n router. And it's packed with features including a built-in PPTP VPN server, Web Access to files stored on an external USB drive attached to the router, an AP mode, and an easy-to-use NAS - features not found on most competing routers. But arguably, the most important feature is its high power radio. With peak power almost ten times that of the D-Link DIR655 (A4), you would expect better coverage. And the good news is that the WZR-HP actually does provide significantly higher throughput at weak signal locations where other draft 11n routers only squeeze out a Mbps or so. And although we didn't test for increased range, we're pretty confident that it will deliver. But no product is perfect and the WZR-HP has a few shortcoming that might limit its appeal. First, there is no way to control the RF power output. In some applications, you might want to reduce the output power to either minimize interference with other wireless networks, or to reduce the range to your immediate working area. For small businesses, the lack of RADIUS authentication (WPA Enterprise) could limit its usefulness. And the multiple-SSIDs for wireless security don't provide the protection that VLAN-based "Guest" wireless modes on other products provide. Even if Buffalo stays with the multiple SSIDs, they should add a checkbox to keep WLAN traffic restricted to Internet access only. Those caveats aside, the WZR-HP-G300NH is a solid router worthy of your consideration – especially if you have dead spots that other routers can’t reach. |

Damn I should've waited a day. I ordered through Newegg because I thought amazon wouldn't match them. It would've saved me 7 in TN tax

Damn. I wish I could just refuse the shipment from Newegg but they're pretty strict about their RMA policy.

great deal! I just bought one 2 weeks ago for $82. I receive the one that you can upgrade to dd-wrt through the browser. But I was going to keep stock to keep all the features. So I updated from 1.72 to 1.74 to keep it current, and the router would no longer connect to the internet even after reboot and resetting and unplugging for minutes. So I just updated to dd-wrt. No problems so far. But lost the built in bit torrent.
for the latest dd-wrt version. make sure your serial/product key is compatible with dd-wrt. there are two versions of the router that are out. One supports easy flashing via webconsole to dd-wrt, the other requires much more work (telnet, tftp to the router among other things). http://www.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/do...hp-g300nh/ Last edited by sljr101; 07-27-2010 at 01:23 PM.. I almost bought this earlier today. I'm excited that it uses dd-wrt by design, rather than as a hack. The only thing I see that may be a downside is that it doesn't do 5GHz, but is this a big deal? Are there any downsides to this router that I haven't noticed?

This is a better piece than any of your more common name brands. BTW the Buffalo WHR-HP-G54 is probably the Best a/b/g on the Market |
