BTW. The quickest way to get to that page is to click this link in your email that Buy.com sends you http://www.buy.com/corp/support/g...search.asp Last edited by suprcharg; 11-29-2006 at 01:35 AM.. |

Don't get mad at buy.com; be mad at that thieving FedEx worker. Of course buy.com denied your claim--in their eyes, you already have your package, since it was "delivered". Why should they grant your claim? Did you complain to FedEx? Don't take it out on a vendor because the carrier has thieves working for them. I've been shopping with buy.com for just about a year, and I've NEVER had any issues with them.
The wrong party is being punished...

Thanks for the info. Looks much better than the GCO email receipt.

Sometimes the way some companies like FedEx does business makes you wonder how the idiot running the company got to the top. |

I was able to get my buy.com receipt. I went searching for it cuz my creative fatal1ty mouse rebate said "not valid with other offers". I was worried that GCO $20/$50 is considered an offer..so rather than send the gco receipt, i sent the buy.com receipt

Is it safer to use ONLY the buy.com receipt? On top of your name and address of the buy.com receipt states Google Checkout. I want to be sure which one to use before I submit my receipts.
Do all companies allow you to resend your receipts if it's the wrong one to qualify for the rebate? I never had a problem with rebates so I don't know. |

Actually it is buy.coms fault for not paying the extra $1 for shipping and requiring a signature. Buy.com should eat the loss since they didnt spend the extra mailing cost.

This is driving me crazy... I was about to finally submit all my rebates (I made 4 separate purchases in the last couple of weeks with Buy.com's GCO) when I came across this thread.
What am I doing wrong? I do not have a "regular" Buy.com account and only started using GCO a couple of weeks ago. I have tried both Buy.com order number and Google order number in different pages of Buy.com's order lookup but none of them can locate my orders! The message I am getting is always the same: We could not locate this order in our system. Please note: new orders will show up within 5 minutes of placing order! I am using the phone number that I used to create Google account. Actually, I don't even remember being asked for my phone number anywhere in Buy.com. What the heck am I doing wrong? There are only 3 fields in that form, for crying out loud... This thing makes me feel like an idiot... Somebody, please help me if you have already figured it out!... Thank you!

FYI. In the phone # field, you have to enter your area code too. Otherwise, you'll get a generic error message that your order was not found instead of asking you to input area code too.

You have to fill in Buy.com Order#, Last Name and Phone.
Check you emails from Buy.com to find Buy.com order#. Provide the phone# which is on the Google Checkout account.
