    Comcast Internet for $19.99/month - pre-existing customers!
I just called Comcast to add Showtime to my account. Before asking for the upgrade, I simply asked if they had any promotions right now for pre-existing customers. The operator paused and said, "Let me check... we can give you the internet for $19.99 a month for the next six months." They changed it right then and there and my online billing reflected a credit immediately. I was being charged $42.95/month... so, it's a savings of $22.96/month for six months... a total savings of $137.76!

I don't know if this will work in all areas or with all operators. But, it's worth a shot.

Original thread containing this information - and much more - is still current and active.

Offered $29.99 for six months in Massachusetts.

Denver, CO - I chatted with an online rep and I was especially nice to them seeing as I was asking for a freebie. I got to the point and said a friend received a promotion of 12Mbps/$19.99/12 Months. Thats right $19.99. She happily gave me the same deal no problems what so ever. I latter chatted again with another rep, being very nice again and told them due to the economy and bills we had to cut back on our cable bill but we miss our movies. I then asked if there were any deals I was eligible for. I received HBO free for 12 months. Both times the reps commented on that I was a loyal customer and that they would be happy to help me out. I didn't have to threaten to remove services either time. I hope that helps.

Atlanta, GA - Chatted, he told me that he was putting in the request for 12mbps/19.99/12 months. he said from chat he could only give me 6months but if i called 1800-comcast they could give me the 12 months. called 1800-comcast and so far so good

Yes, but on the flip side, TW is the best as far as broadband ISPs are concerned. I was always happy with them, even more so when I moved up north and got stuck on DSL.

I believe we're being charged $24.95 for 6 months, plus modem rental fees. I'm gonna call in a few months to see if there are deals on the triple play.

So far, this has always worked best for me. The retentions people are used to people complaining all day, so far they've all liked the break from people complaining
