Success!! Called Comcast a while ago and talked to a very friendly female rep. I mention AT&T rate to her and asked her if there is any promotion Comcast is running currently. She put me on hold for a while and come back by offering me the $19.99/month for 6 months. I guess mentioning a rival's rate is the key since they are very keen on retaining current customer as long as we are still paying them money rather than losing a customer and jumping to another competitor. Thanks OP and reppppedd!!! This is in The Woodlands,TX

Thanks SD! Bucks County, PA area. Digital Preferred cable pkg. went from $70.65 down to $47.95 for 12 months. Save $22.70/mo $272 for the 12 months!
I also went through the cancellation dept. and told them I was considering going to Direct TV. She put me on hold and came back with the savings after trying to offer me the triple play. Never accept their first offer! |

just got offered $29.99/mo for 6months in Seattle, WA. I do have the higher speed 12Mbps download, so I can see why it'll be $10 more for me.

Hum... why do people have to get Comcast or TW at 44.xx? Circuitcity is having AT&T at 24.99 Pro or 34.99 Elite mon to mon $10AR modem and $150 cash back. That's what it shows up for me.

No go for $19.99 in Denver area .. the CSR offered $29.99 a month for 6 months though. The guy was a total jerk and at the first mention of cancelling the service, his response was "would you like me to do it right now ?"
This was after called 1-800-COMCAST, entered my home phone number, selected the options for discontinuing service. I don't think Comcas offers any bonus or any other incentive to their "rention specialists" to retain customers. And oh, this is definitely regional ... because I mentioned to the CSR that Qwest is offering DSL for $19.99 a month, and he immediately mentioned that is for 1.5MB only whereas my plan is for 6 MB. Oh well, may be I will REALLY cancel the service and sign up using a new cable modem

I just called and did as suggested, and the lady looked and said "I sure do have an offer. You have internet and cable, so I can take off $15 per EACH service for the next 6 mo!" I'll save $30 per month!!! $30 x 6 = $180!!! That will help pay the Christmas bills!!!

this offer from what i was told on the phone is an online offer only, I am in the Reading PA area and was able to get 19.95/month for 6 month for just internet service since that is all i have with comcast. If you use the live chat on comcast.com they also gave me the same offer, but was disconnected and had to call. The offer is only valid in certain area.

Might have been mentioned, but www.comcastoffers.com has this offer with free modem and $125 cash back. There are some limitations, but pre-existing data customers are permitted (with a 120 day break). Video customers are permitted as well.
