    Xbox 360 racing wheel
I ordered the SD wheel here http://forums.slickdeals.net/show...3&t=732960 and hoping to improve my driving. I thought it would be fun to have a place to comment on the wheel and what games support the FF. Some questions to get things going:
Anyone using it on the PC? Will games for Windows include Force Feedback? I ordered NFS carbon for $19 off Amazon and already own Forza and PGR. Do the demos for Sega Rally and Test Drive unlimited have FF? Thanks for any feedback.

The ones they ordered should be ok, no? AFAIK, it was just the DC adapter that was the culprit and that should have been replaced in these.

*Also* Looking at Buy.com it says this under the description:
    Quote :
NOTE: This is the newer, updated version of the Wireless Racing Wheel, which does NOT have the Wheel chassis hazard.

I don't know which other "hazard" there could be but I think these are ok.

um... DC Adapter? Think they said that was the problem.. until i recently got an empty box delivered to my house... and picture instructions to put the wheel in the box. (no dc adapter, no plug, no bottom base.)

but these might be newer/fixed ones.. so just giving you guys the heads up either way

huh... I guess it was the unit after all. I just remember them saying you could use the wheel on battery power and you'd be fine, but, then you wouldn't get force feedback.

As mentioned before, it clearly says this is the new model without the recall issue, no worries. Since anything goes how about adding a chair to this thing. I wonder how those rocker chairs would go with this? Reason I ask is Target has them 75% off now here http://forums.slickdeals.net/show...3&t=734811
I already have the $99 compact massager recliner from Walmart so I'm already set to FF my ass off. I highly recommend that deal if you can still find it or have them ship site to store. I can't wait for Wednes shipment of the wheel and NFScarbon. I have a nice yamaha surround and a Sammy 32" so this will rock the place. Not bad for a 54yo heh, this is my time machine, I'll never grow up. I was wondering how good that new Nascar game is, I might buy it if it's on sale.

I already received the one from buy.com.... it is the newer version that has the power cable fixed. All the wheels packaged with the Forza 2 demo are the newer versions that are fixed.

i LOVE the racing wheel now that im getting used to the force feedback. Burnout paradise is so much more fun with it

does anyone know how to do character mapping? I didnt see any options to do it in burnout paradise.

as in... I want to change the two paddles into different buttons. By default, they are LB and RB in Burnout Paradise. However, I would like to change them to X and A, because its kind of hard to press the current X and A buttons while using the wheel.

To each his own, I heard TDU was a blast just cruising around enjoying the scenery. I'm more of a casual gamer and mostly solo so Multiplayer isn't critical in DIRT either. And TDU just added some content btw:

Maybe I'l redo the demo since I liked both of them. These things are expensive and I've already had three deliveries. Now time for a test, wanted to watch the eat and do the dishes before I zone out with the toys. Watch the power go out here in the NW as soon as I plug in my new wheel.
