Thank you. I am going to subscribe to this thread... I am overwhelmed right now after reading pages and pages of threads dedicated to Walgreens and CVS deals. I gave myself a migraine last night - I was busy reading for so long.. Thanks again and repped!

Thank you!!! I really do try to search the threads for things before I post a question... but with thousands of posts a day it can be overwhelming!!! Very nice to have a place to ask my stupid questions now.

Knocked $81 off my CVS order with coupons yesterday, thanks to my SD training. Thanks, HD, I'm sure I'll learn something here even though I'm an old newbie. ![]()

I wonder if those new to coupon use know the SD abbreviation for the word coupon is "Q"?
But great thinking. |

I just want to say, as encouragement to others. I got into all this at the end of my pregnancy and while I was on maternity leave. Don't get me wrong, I'm super busy with my son, who is 17 weeks old, but I was off of work for almost 3 months and couponing was the PERFECT hobby for me to pick up. Money got really tight when the baby came, I love to shop, and I was desperate for some "me" time. So, I'd research some deals and when hubby got home from work, I'd go out for an hour or so and do some "shopping". My stockpile is growing steadily, and it's SO gratifying to see how much money I'm saving my family. I only work part time because we can't afford day care, so I feel like couponing is my way of contributing. With 3 cats, a dog and a baby, I need to save everywhere I can. To me, coupons = money. Anyway, my point is, I've only been doing this for around 4 months and I feel like I know the ropes really well. My advice is to perfect one store, then move on to the next. I have a Kroger that doubles up to $1 Q's, so I started with small runs here and there, maybe saving 50-60%. Then eventually it was getting down to less than $1 OOP (out of pocket) and now I'm disappointed if it's much more than that lol. Now I also do Rite-Aid and am working the Kmart double days. Whew, I'm long winded.... lol The moral of my story is, start where you're comfortable and go from there. You CAN do this!!! |
