TY. Sometimes I feel so irrelevant now. No CVS, no Target and almost all WAG's prices are about $2 per deal higher than ya'lls. Makes it hard to contribute. Encouragement is all I have to offer.
Truthfully, I believe I could give up CVS, Wags, Target, Kmart, WM....all of them, to live where you are! Everytime I see your name and location, I feel all jealous!
Thank you for this post! How sweet and encouraging. This site and the people here are so helpful, and I appreciate that.

Great idea HD! A thread that will have patience with noobs - which we all once were.

Dang, I'm out of reps. I have to add you to my list of reps when I get them back.

Thank you. I am going to subscribe to this thread... I am overwhelmed right now after reading pages and pages of threads dedicated to Walgreens and CVS deals. I gave myself a migraine last night - I was busy reading for so long.. Thanks again and repped!

Thanks! I love this place, everyone has been very helpful to me! You wouldn't believe all the money I've saved since joining. I wish I had known about coupon shopping years ago.
Knocked $81 off my CVS order with coupons yesterday, thanks to my SD training. Thanks, HD, I'm sure I'll learn something here even though I'm an old newbie.

Chicken coupons!? Other than the Perdue nuggets from a few weeks ago? I'd be interested in those links, too, if you don't mind.

I wonder if those new to coupon use know the SD abbreviation for the word coupon is "Q"?

    But great thinking.

They would if they looked at the "Drugstore and Grocery Store Index and Information Thread" listed above.

That's a good point. I had a Gerber Q PDF saved to my desktop and my DH was on my laptop doing something and he was like "What in the he** is a Gerber Q?" lol... In my house, we call them coo-pons, not Q-pons like many do, so he was totally confused.

I just want to say, as encouragement to others. I got into all this at the end of my pregnancy and while I was on maternity leave. Don't get me wrong, I'm super busy with my son, who is 17 weeks old, but I was off of work for almost 3 months and couponing was the PERFECT hobby for me to pick up. Money got really tight when the baby came, I love to shop, and I was desperate for some "me" time. So, I'd research some deals and when hubby got home from work, I'd go out for an hour or so and do some "shopping". My stockpile is growing steadily, and it's SO gratifying to see how much money I'm saving my family. I only work part time because we can't afford day care, so I feel like couponing is my way of contributing. With 3 cats, a dog and a baby, I need to save everywhere I can. To me, coupons = money.

Anyway, my point is, I've only been doing this for around 4 months and I feel like I know the ropes really well. My advice is to perfect one store, then move on to the next. I have a Kroger that doubles up to $1 Q's, so I started with small runs here and there, maybe saving 50-60%. Then eventually it was getting down to less than $1 OOP (out of pocket) and now I'm disappointed if it's much more than that lol. Now I also do Rite-Aid and am working the Kmart double days. Whew, I'm long winded.... lol The moral of my story is, start where you're comfortable and go from there. You CAN do this!!!
