Are these good for fighting zombies? I already have a shotgun, but I don't want to be unprepared. Also please don't tell the gun shop owner that I'm just buying guns to fight zombies. Even though it's completely rational, I'm afraid they may decide not to sell me anymore guns.

Yes, that is a stripped down and neutered model. For the same price (can probably find it even cheaper), a S&W M&P is a much better value.
