Nice find, these are SO much cheaper than last year.
Note the TC-P42C1 does not have the anti-reflective coating of the 2009 models. The TC-P42X1 from Dell [dell.com] for $529 or less if you use Bing or DPA may be better for rooms with a window or bright lights.

You just got to settle on one and buy it since every month a new one will come up and the price on old one will drop $20....
Enjoying a large screen for 1 year was well worth the extra $100 i paid for a similar screen last year. Just a thought. |

My Uncle bought the TC-P50C1 last year for $999. He has it in a small alcove and I did not notice any glare problems. I get the afternoon sun in my living room and want 1080p so its the S1 for me.

The 46" fits better but always seems to be more expensive. The 50" would block some of our dvd storage shelves, but I'll live. The one end of our couch is 6' away, the recliner is 7' away and the far end of the couch is 12' away. I did not like the 3% overscan with the 720p models and I want 1:1 pixel maping if I hook up my PC.

Omg, the prices on these have dropped so much since last year. I wonder how low it will go on BF.

Where's the deals on 50"?!?!
It's time to upgrade the old folk's tube to a nice 50" Panny. Been tracking Amazon's price - lowest it went to around $750 and then shot up to $880 and has stayed there for the past couple of weeks. wtf? I hope BF treats me nice.
