TU and rep given. Not the deal for me (just picked up my 12-mo card from BestBuy today with $20 off) but it's a good price compared with the regular price. I'm sure some will give a thumbs-down just because it's not a good price compared with the 12-month card, but it's a good deal for what it is.

Not bad. Works out to essentially the same price as the 12 month cards from various online retailers, but on a smaller time/money scale. Thumbs up.

Decent deal.

Buy.com, amazon.com, and other retailers sell 12+1 month cards for $30 occasionally though. Bought 2 for $60 on amazon last time.

ok deal, still hate how microsoft charges to play online even though they don't offer dedicated xbox live servers to handle hosting games. that would justify paying for the service otherwise we're just paying for a matchmaking service. plus the fact even gold members have to see ads is another annoying part.

although there are deficiencies, I would much rather pay $30/year for XBL than deal with a FREE playstation network that blows.

i haven't had any problems with psn

infact i've experienced more downtime in xbl than psn

Those are usually targeted deals, spotlight messages and other sections differ depending on whether you're "pro", "underground", "recreation"... and you're also more likely to get them if your subscription is almost up. My gf renewed on live for $49.99 for 15 months not long ago, tried to get the same deal but I still have time left on my acct. TU though.

Mines running out, last time I went without it for a few months because I didn't need it and they gave me a free 400 points to come back. Don't think I'll be able to go without it for a few months this time.
